December

Here are a couple new pictures showing you what we have been up to this month. Josh and I went to his AFTAC winter social (work party) and had loads of fun watching all the crazy people do funny things. Cameron had his first school Christmas program and he tried sushi. Emma has been our little angel that smiles all day long. We also treated our family with Disney World passes for 2010 and started with Animal Kingdom. We hope you had fun with your family this month!

Christmas Time Is Here

The best Christmas of all is the presence of a happy family all wrapped up with one another.
We were able to stay home for the holidays and Josh was able to get the day off on Christmas. Both sides of our family have spoiled our children this year and they love it! At the moment, Cameron is tormenting his sister with a remote control spider that he got Josh for Christmas. She loves it .... until it moves towards her.

Emma was really hard to keep away from the tree this year. Not because of the ornaments but all the gifts that came in the mail from family that was under the tree. She actually crawled behind the couch to the back of the tree to open a gift. Sneaky little one she is. We got a family gift this year: Nintendo DS. Josh has been "testing" it for about a week now and Cameron is in love with the Lego Star Wars game.
Next year we are hoping to be able to see family and to be at a place that will give us a white Christmas ... or maybe that is our wish for next Christmas.
Happy Holidays and don't forget the true meaning of Christmas this year!

Christmas Season

This is the Christmas season and I love it! The tree is up, not decorated yet. But the lights on the house our blinking and most of the gifts are bought. Now I just need to wrap and ship them all out to friends and family. We wish we could visit family during the holidays, maybe next year. We also took our family pictures on the beach and hope to have Christmas cards printed soon to send to everyone.

Don't forget to bring Christ into your Christmas! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

6 years together

Josh and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary during Thanksgiving weekend at Disney World, kid-less. Thanks to our wonderful friend. I surprised Josh with tickets to the Blue Man Group and he bought me a new Paula Deen red pot set. He is so awesome! One more thing to match my red kitchen decor`. lol Because of all the TDYs that Josh has done this year he has acquired points with the Hilton hotels, so we got a free night alone at the Hampton in Orlando. We spent the whole day at Magic Kingdom and then headed over to Epcot to get some Moroccan dinner. We try something new each year for our anniversary and love it! Try it.

Fall in Florida

Fall has finally come to our sunny state of Florida! I had to find pants and long-sleeve shirts for the kiddos ... which turned out to be from last year, 1 size too small for both. That meant shopping for me. :-) While Josh was at survival school in Washington state, we made a Transformer Bumblebee costume, did a photo shoot at the pumpkin patch and trick-r-treated right off base. Cameron got to go to school in his costume and learn how to make a project at Lowe's with a hammer. Emma has developed the 'Heaton glare' (family joke) and enjoyed eating the spaghetti 'worms' we were playing with at our fall festival for daycare. The kiddos are growing up so fast and we are taking so many photos that it is hard to pick just one to post here and not forget some cute ones.

Most of my siblings. We are missing my 4 step-brothers. Maybe next time.

The Poliquin-Darting Family. I need to get a new picture of the Darting family.

'Snow' in FL

Cameron got 'snow' for his birthday. We mixed it up and had some fun on a warm sunny day in the backyard. Emma thought is was weird feeling. Wish the kiddos could experience the real thing.

Emma walking

Emma's first steps on camera. She started taking steps a couple days before Daddy returned from survival school.

More steps ....

First Post

Today is the first day of our family blog. I'm hoping to keep it updated with photos and current events in our family life. I have been posting pictures on facebook, but some relatives and friends do not have access to them and emailing takes too long. Hopefully I will get a hang of it here and make everyone happy. :-)
